Petr Zemčík, Senior Researcher and Assistant Professor of Economics at EI. He received his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Pittsburgh in 1997. He has published in peer reviewed academic journals such as the International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Multivariate Analysis or the Southern Economic Journal. His research fields are real estate finance, financial economics and econometrics. He was recently awarded a Marie Curie Global Reintegration Grant to conduct analysis of house prices on consumer welfare in the European Union. Dr. Zemčík has also played a leading role in a number of consulting projects, including studies evaluating the overall impact of the Summer Olympic Games for the City of Prague or analysing the government bond market in Serbia.
